The Sharing Approach to Teaching Cross-Cultural Understanding: Evidence from University Students’ Perspective

In the current global era, there is a distinct need for cross-cultural understanding (CCU) instruction. This study endeavored to explore participants' perspectives following completion of course designed enhance students' CCU knowledge and appreciation diversity through sharing approach. Data were collected via questionnaires reflection reports, which distributed university students Google Forms. Utilizing an explanatory sequential design, involved 18 enrolled in Nusantara Module. The findings indicated positive acceptance approach among students. Furthermore, revealed that their sense nationalism remained intact despite exposure different cultures. These results have several implications, including promising direction development more effective courses potential educational programs augment without undermining national identity. Nevertheless, further research needed validate these across diverse settings demographics. Future studies may also long-term effects on attitudes towards cultural diversity.
